To modify or enhance the default water effect, you can duplicate, edit, and use the following three material-related assets:

1. MI\_CesiumThreeOverlaysAndClippingAndCustomWater

Duplicate MI\_CesiumThreeOverlaysAndClippingAndWater from Engine \> Plugins \> Cesium for Unreal \> Materials \> Instances into your project folder and rename it to MI\_CesiumThreeOverlaysAndClippingAndCustomWater. Set up as shown below.

2. MLB\_CesiumSimpleCustomWater

Duplicate MLB\_CesiumSimpleWater from Engine \> Plugins \> Cesium for Unreal \> Materials \> Blends into your project folder and rename it to MLB\_CesiumSimpleCustomWater.

Modify the part highlighted in the red box in the image below: replace the original ML\_CesiumLandWaterBlend with your project’s ML\_CesiumLandCustomWaterBlend.

3. ML\_CesiumLandCustomWaterBlend

Duplicate ML\_CesiumLandWaterBlend from Engine \> Plugins \> Cesium for Unreal \> Materials \> CesiumWaterMaterialFunctions into your project folder and rename it to ML\_CesiumLandCustomWaterBlend.

The original ML\_CesiumLandWaterBlend contains a MatLayerBlend\_OverrideBaseColor node after BlendMaterialAttributes, which overrides the final output BaseColor with the BaseColor of the Input Bottom Layer (i.e., the map imagery color).

In ML\_CesiumLandCustomWaterBlend, we can skip the MatLayerBlend\_OverrideBaseColor node so that BaseColor is not overridden.

The left side of the image below shows the original ML\_CesiumLandWaterBlend, and the right side shows the modified ML\_CesiumLandCustomWaterBlend. Note the modified part in the red box.

Hope it helps.
