Duplicate Models in the Cesium-Ion Assets Query

Hey, I have been using the query “https://api.cesium.com/v1/assets?page=1&limit=1000” to fetch the assets from cesium ion from a time now, but from a past few days, for some reason is showing me duplicate assets in the query, The same asset name, uploaded at the same date, just with another asset id, which is creating duplication issues at my side, can you please help me with this? or tell me if any filter is needed to add in the query to fix the issue?

Thanks for reporting this. I’ll look into the duplicate assets and check if there’s a filter or query parameter that can prevent them. I’ll get back to you once I find the cause.

Some items in the returned list may appear to be duplicates, because ion now explicitly maintains the original source assets. The REST endpoint and the documentation have not yet been updated accordingly, and there are different options being considered for resolving this.

In the meantime, one workaround could be to filter the returned list of assets to only include the assets that have a type that indicates one of the (previous, streamable) assets types. For example, in JavaScript, this could be

  const filtered = assets.filter((a) => {
    return a.type === "IMAGERY" ||
      a.type === "TERRAIN" ||
      a.type === "3DTILES" ||
      a.type === "GLTF" ||
      a.type === "CZML" ||
      a.type === "KML" ||
      a.type === "GEOJSON";
  });

Thanks for the workaround!
