I was looking at the recent pull requests on Github when I came across this request: [https://github.com/AnalyticalGraphicsInc/cesium/pull/5741](https://github.com/AnalyticalGraphicsInc/cesium/pull/5741)

The post by emackey caught my attention as I had never been very happy with the stars in Cesium, but that screenshot looks amazing. I did a quick search which turned up this repo: [https://github.com/AnalyticalGraphicsInc/cesium-assets/tree/master/stars](https://github.com/AnalyticalGraphicsInc/cesium-assets/tree/master/stars)

but that doesn't look remotely close to what was in the screenshot..

Where can I get the high-quality stars shown in that screenshot?

Hi,

That pull request was just an adjustment to the atmosphere appearance, not the star imagery. You can display any skybox with cesium setting scene.skyBox to an new Skybox ([https://cesiumjs.org/Cesium/Build/Documentation/SkyBox.htm](https://cesiumjs.org/Cesium/Build/Documentation/SkyBox.htm)l) object, and providing the new images. There are many skybox images freely available for free if you do some googling!

Thanks,

Gabby
