Host map on local network server

the tutorials talk about accessing online map data sources. However I would like to host my own map data on my own local network server. Could you point me to the information on
1. how cesium access map source data from a local network?
2. Are there any specifications on how the map source data should be organized on the local network server?

Cesium defines its own custom terrain data formats. They’re described at https://cesiumjs.org/data-and-assets/terrain/formats/heightmap-1.0.html and https://cesiumjs.org/data-and-assets/terrain/formats/quantized-mesh-1.0.html . The result is static data files hosted in a TMS-type file structure (zoom / x / y). There’s a useful open-source utility that can generate heightmap files from GDAL-readable input formats like DTED and GeoTIFF, at https://github.com/geo-data/cesium-terrain-builder .
