Integrating Blender architectural models with Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles in Unreal Engine

Developers at Hopeworks have built a digital twin of Camden, New Jersey, to support city planning and municipal design reviews. Their workflow involves converting architectural designs into 3D assets using Blender, then importing them into Cesium for Unreal, and fusing with Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles to provide the surrounding geospatial context.

The application is used by municipal planners and the Rowan University / Rutgers - Camden Board of Governors to visualize development proposals and assess community impacts before construction.
