Moon south pole data viz related

Hello All,

We have used cesium 3d for 3d visualisation of moon by cutomizing sphere values. We noticed that over the poles data is looking stretched and not visible properly may be due to change in projection. Any thoughts on this ?

Thanks

Hey @jai_singla,

Projection could well be part of it, but I don’t want to guess at the exact cause from the description alone, since it depends a lot on how your Moon is set up.

Could you share a Sandcastle that reproduces what you’re seeing? That would let us see the sphere values you’re using, whether the pole data is coming from imagery or a 3D Tiles asset, and how it’s all put together, which should make the cause much clearer. You can build and share one here: https://sandcastle.cesium.com/

Cheers!

HI ,

Actually, we have generated local tiles using QGIS XYZ / Web Tiles tools and NASA WAC data. Is this a pain area?
