I have a web app that is built on Cesium JS. This app has some functionality that may be interesting to potential customers who do not need to use the map functionality. Is it possible for me to disable the map engine/globe entirely and still use the rest of the app? The reason for disabling it would be to reduce processor load if the map is not needed.

@alexvizgard

Are you looking to disable the WGS 84 globe or a specific imagery layer?

I’d like the ability to turn the globe off entirely for some users.

@alexvizgard

I just checked in with some of our other developers internally. They ensured me that this was possible. I am currently looking through our API and past forum posts for a solution. Apparently, there are other forum posts that address this.

@alexvizgard

Please try this!
`viewer.scene.globe.show = false;`
For more context, please see the following thread: [Only display 3D model without globe](https://community.cesium.com/t/only-display-3d-model-without-globe/10545)
