I maneged to connect Cesium with Virtual Regatta offshore: https://www.virtualregatta.com/en/
Now you can enjoy view of coast, sailing by when taking part virtually in great races such as Vendee Globe.

Start simplified: no need to start intermediate NMEA server and other minor goodies.
