Is there a way to check whether a point or a specific coordinate in cesium falls within an ellipse I created ?

There is no built-in functionality in the CesiumJS library for this, but it should be fairly straightforward to compute depending on the scenario. Is this a 2D ellipse on the earth’s surface? Or a 3D ellipsoid?

2D ellipse, I calculated the point intersection but I need to understand whether they intersect in a situation like in the picture. I also wanted to share it on the forum, but I cannot share pictures.
