Cesium partial Ellipsoid outline draws internal grid lines for sliced ellipsoids – how to draw only outer boundary?

This gives me the correct 3D sector shape, but when outline is enabled, Cesium draws internal wireframe/grid lines inside the ellipsoid slice. These internal lines become very visible as the angular span increases.

What I want:

  • A filled ellipsoid sector (works fine)
  • An outline ONLY on the outer boundary of the sector
  • No internal grid / meridian lines

You can achieve this by having 2 ellipsoids. One for the outline with slicePartitions and stackPartitions set to 3, and one without outlines. See this sandcastle.

I like @anneg’s answer. Here’s another way that AI came up with: basically, drawing the ellipsoid without outlines, and drawing polylines on top of it.
