Help us include Cesium in OSGeo-Live

The kind OSGeo-Live folks are interested in including Cesium in their distribution of open-source geospatial software. This will be great exposure for Cesium.

Can anyone help with this effort? Specifically, we need to

  1. Write a script to install on debian based systems.
  1. Write a 1 page Project Overview, in line with their template
  1. Write a 5 to 15 minute Quickstart, as per their template

See How to add a project to OSGeo-Live: http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc#How_to_add_a_project_to_OSGeoLive

To get into their next release in February 2015, this needs to be ready by December 23.

Schedule: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Al9zh8DjmU_RdE1SYUN3YWJ2N1NpSUczbW9IRWZNclE&hl=en_GB#gid=0

Please let me know if you can help, and I will connect you with the OSGeo-Live folks. We would appreciate it.

We’re getting a bit closer to the December 23 deadline. Is anyone interested in running with this?

Thanks,

Patrick

One last call to see if anyone can help get Cesium into the next release of OSGeo-Live. I believe this will be a small amount of work - just a script and some writing. Please let me know if you can help for the December 23 deadline. If not, we’ll do their next release.

Thanks,

Patrick

Thanks so much to Balasubramaniam Natarajan who volunteered to support this!

As you may recall, Balasubramaniam is also the creator of a Cesium tutorial video series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBk_Dtk-_Tlm4STvXKFEdfUWylPemo-9V
