The Institute for Photogrammetry at the University of Stuttgart visualizes complex datasets (including LIDAR & SAR persistent scatterers) in a CesiumJS app, with data hosed on Cesium ion. They use the app as a tool for sharing externally, for training students, and even as references in academic papers.
