Issue with Black Patches on 2D Map in Zoomed Out View

Hello Cesium Community,

I’m currently utilizing Cesium in its 2D capacity and have encountered an issue that I’m hoping to get some guidance on. Specifically, when viewing the map in a zoomed-out state, I’m noticing black patches appearing on the top and bottom of the 2D map.

I’ve attached screenshots for reference, illustrating the problem as it appears in our application.

I’m eager to learn more about potential solutions or best practices to address this issue.

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Abhishek,
The black boundaries are simply the overflow region above and below the map, allowing the camera to navigate and center on the edges. If you want to avoid this behavior, you would have to control the aspect ratio of the map by having a fixed aspect ratio, and tightly control the zoom and navigation of the camera so that the boundary region cannot become visible.
