Looking for a freelancer or contractor

We’re seeking a highly experienced Cesium Developer for a contract role to help us push the boundaries of 3D visualization technology. This is a remote position.

If you have expert-level Cesium skills, a strong background in visual optimization and shader development, and a passion for handling massive geospatial datasets, we’d love to talk to you.

Scope of Work

  • Redesign the core data processing pipeline for displaying extremely large datasets (BIM models, GIS layers, point clouds, Gaussian splats, and 3D tiles) in Cesium.
  • Optimize rendering so the system remains usable even on low-spec computers.
  • Create and integrate custom shaders to meet complex visibility and rendering goals.
  • Develop advanced tools, such as multi-dimensional cross-sections and other high-end interaction tools for geospatial and BIM data.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional, expert-level Cesium knowledge — better than “advanced.”
  • Long history of Cesium development, with a strong focus on optimization and large dataset management.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance-tuning and visual optimization in Cesium environments.
  • Strong shader development skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and delivering results on a tight, milestone-driven schedule.

Hello
I am interested in your project.
I believe you can check my skills and experience from this

Thank you.

Zhefeng,

Thank you for your email.

We will be interested in exploring it further. We are looking for 3 items to start:

  1. Developing a shader that is similar to the shader used in the Autodesk Construction Cloud - https://youtu.be/yO7D8Hu3VWQ?si=hZyBuKS5BskrlHCS&t=44 .
  2. Optimizing our rendering/processing pipeline to display 10s of models and datasets of more than 10Gb combined size (BIM and GIS).
  3. Adding measurements tools (including volume) to point clouds.
  4. Adding cross-section tools.

Is it something that you are comfortable with?

Alec

Yes, Comfortable.

Can you email me directly at alec.pestov@vgis.io to continue the conversation?

Hi Alec,
I have deep experience with Cesium.
Happy to discuss the project further if it sounds like a fit.
