Sandcastle KML demo in 2D slow

Hello everybody,

  1. Run the Sandcastle demos, choose KML (in Showcases).
  2. Choose “Global Science Facilities” (in fact it’s chosen by default).
  3. Use the mode button to switch to 2D mode.
    In my browser the basemap gets switched quickly but the data seem misplaced at first. It takes minutes until the data points are displayed at the proper locations.

Anybody observes the same?
