I am creating a digital twin in Unreal and we are trying to use Cesium as our default bathymetry data. The problem I am having is a height of 0 does not look like it is sea level. Another example of this is when I have the Georeferenced origin at 41.64809, -70.671339 with a height of zero, the bottom of the bay is about 45 meters below this origin. The actual depth here should be closer to 11 meters if not less. I was wondering what refence I should use for sea level when using the bathymetry terrain.
I fear the global resolution of the Cesium World Bathymetry is just too large for that. We have a high resolution photogrammetry seafloor model that we would have liked to “embed” into the cesium world bathymetry. Due to the low resolution our model is completely covered by the surface of the bathymetry tileset/terrain so it’s unusable for us unfortunately.
