Water geometry and mask issues

When looking at Sydney for instance, you have lots of height blockiness in the harbour and the water mask is done by a grid such that it doesn’t terminate nicely when reaching land. Cesium also struggles with bridges over water as well.

I’m just wondering how that all might be addressed in future?

Hi @masz,

Cesium World Terrain data is created from several different sources. We’re in the process of upgrading it and we’ll investigate how we can further improve it - Thanks for bringing this particular area to our attention!
In a similar vein, the watermask is derived and processed from the same open data sources that are used to build Cesium World Terrain. We are working improving the quality of the watermask for Cesium World Terrain as well, so shorelines should be more well-defined in the future.

Great to hear its being developed.
Difintely the tileset inconsistencies are the biggest issue for me.
Thanks for all the amazing work!
