I am trying to upload this KML dataset for Aviation Facilities into Cesium ION and I’m getting an error when it’s attempting to load as 3D tiles. I can upload it as KML just fine, but the performance is essentially unusable. From what I read in the forums here my only real option seems to be uploading the dataset as 3D tiles and allowing the cesium tiling pipeline to take care of everything. Looking at the KML data itself and viewing it in the cesium preview window, I can see it’s just point markers for every Airport in the U.S. so the question is then, what is causing the error and how might I go about fixing it? Does the cesium team potentially have internal tools for this? Any help is appreciated! ![]()
Hi @adrocic1,
Sorry you’re hitting this issue - what exactly is the error you’re receiving? And how many markers are we talking here? (Can’t be too many, right? Just the airports in the U.S.?)
Best,
Matt
Sorry, I actually figured it out. I had an issue with my .dae model linking in the KML. Thanks for the response anyhow.
