Chris Cooper, Cesium contributor and creator of the excellent Cesium-based application Doarama, has recently learned that he will be given an Academy Award! Check out the Academy’s press release here:

While I personally think his work on Doarama is worthy of an Academy Award as well, the award was given for his work on deep compositing that, as I understand it, he originally did for the movie Australia. I thought you would all like to join me in congratulating him.
