Tour website - need access

We are currently using Cesium for our MWU Tour website (tour.midwestern.edu. It has been a while since we edited the site. In fact the site was built by a vendor who is not associated with our university anymore.

  1. We are trying to update the site, specifically, remove a building. The assetID itself that we need to remove the building on is 65227. The access token is in the screenshot below.
  2. We are also trying to determine the size of the image.

We desperately need access to the site.

@sthoma3
So, the short answer is nope.
Just having the token doesn’t mean you can go in and change or delete assets directly.
To do that, you’d need access to the Cesium ion account tied to that token.
The token itself is more like a key—it lets you authenticate requests, but it doesn’t give you admin powers over the account or its assets.
If the folks who built the site aren’t working with your university anymore, you’ll need to track down the credentials for the Cesium ion account they used.
Can’t find them?
Then your best bet is to reach out to Cesium support and see if they can help recover the account.
If that doesn’t work, you might have to start fresh—create a new Cesium ion account, rebuild the assets (if you’ve got them), and then update the website to use the new assets and token.
Hope that clears things up for you!

Hi @sthoma3 .

In addition to the information that johnvheldev428 about access the Cesium ion account I can provide some more informtaion about the assets.

Cesium ion does not currently offer a way to edit assets. You would need to edit the source data that was used to create that asset and re-upload it to create a new asset. If you don’t have the original source data there is a possiblity it is still in Ceisum ion. You can check on the asset details panel under the Sources tab.

Please let us know if this resolves your question, or if you need additional help

Hi.

  1. I emailed Cesium support last Thursday and no one responded and there is no phone number to call (terrible tech support by the way).
  2. This is the email that was used when it was built - justin.lutz@theprimacy.com
  3. I created a new Cesium account (sthoma3) – can this be used now?

Sorry for the delay in the response to your email to support. I have replied to your email with information about the account and how to access it.

Thank you! That was what we were looking for. I’ll reach out with any additional questions.
