transmition to "Terrain provider"!!!!!!

I noticed that cesium transitioned to a paid service for the Terrain provider.
I am just wondering to know if there is any free version of ION or any free terrain providers?

Hey Maryam,

ion terrain is free as long as you don’t exceed 15 GB per month (see https://cesium.com/pricing/) and your app isn’t commercial. You can probably find a lot of free terrain data for local areas, but you’d still need to tile and host it somewhere. Cesium’s terrain tiles & streaming are pretty efficient so it only loads the areas you’re viewing.
