Any idea whats causing this issue? everything seems to be correct, and can’t even replace the material. Essentially nothing happenes when i tick the box and change materials.
Using Photorealistic 3D tiles, and World terrain.
Am i missing anything?

Are you using cesium world terrain(CWT) as base terrain for entire world and google p3d for area of interest for higher fidelity by cartogphaphic polygon?
If that is not the case then white patches is because of the z fighting between CWT and google p3d. try removing google p3d and then enable water mask to check if it gives desirable result.
Hi! I’m only using Photorealistic at the moment, not both simultaneously. I also tried World Terrain by itself, but it’s not working
Whenever i tick on the enable water mask, and change the water material… essentially nothing happens
can you try opening level-1 and see waves effect? Use same version of unreal and cesium plugin?
Hi @mosar, welcome to the community!
I believe the problem is that you’ve specified a custom water material, M_AssetPlatform
. Clear that “Water Material” property on the Cesium3DTileset and things should look better.
Hi @mosar,
I see that some people have already jumped in to help, but I wanted to add that the water mask is only supported for quantized-mesh terrain. Cesium World Terrain can make use of this feature. However, Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles does not come with any similar water mask information, so it’s not possible for us to apply a water effect in the same way.
You might be able to achieve something similar in a material by applying the water effect to very blue areas. It’s not something we have tried ourselves, but it may get you closer to the desired appearance!
