Updated CesiumJS and Webpack Tutorial!

Hello CesiumJS community! :grinning:

As you may know, the previous version of our CesiumJS and Webpack tutorial was outdated. Even if a user followed the instructions exactly, they would have ended up with numerous errors and broken code. Recently, I have noticed various community forum posts related to questions about configuring CesiumJS and webpack. Here are a few of the highlights:

Given the significant amount of inbound related to webpack, we decided to work with various community members and Cesium developers to create an updated CesiumJS and webpack guide. This guide can be found on our GitHub page:

As always, do not hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, or concerns!

Best,
Sam

@sam.rothstein Heavily considering open sourcing the build process. Any interest on your end in us doing this? It would make integrating with all build systems very simple.

I am not sure if we have the bandwidth to help you out with this right now. Currently discussing this internally. I will get back to you if there are any significant updates.

It doesn’t really require anything on your end at this point, we made the decision to just pull the trigger (as you’ve seen in the other thread)
