Hi everyone, please join me in welcoming Ayush Khandelwal to the community for Google Summer of Code 2015!
Ayush is a third-year student majoring in Computer Science at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad working in the Lab for Spatial Informatics. He brings strong experience in many things geospatial, including previous work on compressing GML for more efficient transmission. He’s also already contributed his first pull request to Cesium.
For GSoC 2015, Ayush will be implementing support for the GML Simple Features Profile (SFP) in Cesium, with an eye toward adding full support for rendering features from a Web Feature Service (WFS). GML SFP support will also be helpful for interpreting GetFeatureInfo results from WMS servers.
Congratulations Ayush, we’re looking forward to working with you this (Northern hemisphere) summer!
Hello,
I'm interested by GML and I'd like to contribute in Cesium but I'm still waiting some returns about my pull 2362 (https://github.com/AnalyticalGraphicsInc/cesium/pull/2362) in order to improve my work. Do you have a planning about this pull?
I also created a demo on SandCastle. You can find it in the DataSources demo section. It works locally but not on my gh-pages. I will need some time to discuss with Kevin what’s going wrong. Until then, you can use the Cesium Viewer app itself by dragging-dropping the sample files.
