Billboard text artifacts in Brave browser

Brave browser shows show weird black dots artifacts when displaying text.
Tested with latest version of Brave, on 3 different computers. All show the same black dots artifacts.

Weird graphical artifacts (black dots) when using labeled entities in combination with webpack

Looks like if I turn off the Brave “Shields”, then rendering is correct. No more rendering errors.
Very strange.
