We are in an extraordinary position and are looking for a creative C++ Performance Software Developer and software architect to join our 3D team.
In collaboration with Epic Games, Cesium is bringing global-scale real-world visualization to game engines for the first time ever. In this role, you will contribute to architecture and software development of the runtime engine and content pipeline.
What you’ll do:
- Use C++ to design and implement the performance-focused components
- Use modern software development practices to create reusable libraries, unit tests, and documentation
- Collaborate with our development team, Epic Games, and the community to define the new standard for 3D geospatial
- Participate in collaborative development using GitHub, code reviews, and CI
- Work in a fast-paced continuous learning environment
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent C++ 17 development and software architecture skills with a focus on modular architecture, API design, and performance
- Exposure to any flavor of parallel programming is a bonus: multicore, SIMD, GPU, etc
- Exposure to graph algorithms and spatial data structures is a plus
- Exposure to Unreal Engine, AR, VR, or geospatial software is a plus
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Math, a related field, or equivalent experience
