Creating a cesium clip is not working and getting this developer error in the console Expected asset to be typeof object, actual typeof was undefined

I want to integrate Cesium Clips into my Unreal project. When I open my Cesium ion dashboard and click on the Clips tab, then press the Create Clip button, it opens a dialog with options for 3D Tiles or World Terrain with a globe preview.

However, as soon as I click the Next button, I see a blank screen. The browser’s console shows this developer error:

“Expected asset to be typeof object, actual typeof was undefined”

Am I doing something wrong? I’m new to the Cesium community, so I’d appreciate any help in fixing this.

Also, how can I download the tiles for a specific area (around 5–10 km radius) with the World Terrain to use in my Unreal Engine project environment?

Hi @Abdul_Rehman, welcome to the community!

This sounds like a potential bug with Cesium ion, so I’m moving this topic to the Cesium ion category. If you have any concerns about using the clip in Unreal Engine, though, feel free to open a new topic in Cesium for Unreal again.

Thank you janine…i want to ask is this only with me or other ppl are also facing these issues?

Hi Abdul,

No I have the same issue. I have tested the cesium ion page on multiple browsers and PCs, all with the same problem

Hi @Abdul_Rehman and @dardonal,

Sorry about the continued issues. I notified the Cesium ion team about this at the end of last week, and a fix is already underway. We’ll update this thread when it has been deployed. Thanks!
