Google 3d Tiles unity South Korea not working

Hi I am trying to load 2d tiles for South Korea using google maps. It works for some places but for Coex, South Korea it only displays top view. I checked in google earth and it has the street view for Coex. Please guide whats wrong or even this is possible. Any guidance is appriciated.

Hi @Shafqat_Jamil. It’s a little bit confusing, but the 3D buildings you see in Google Earth are actually a different data set than the ones shown in Google Maps and, therefore, the ones available in Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles. If you bring up your location in Google Maps and select the “3D” button in the bottom right, you’ll find that only the top down view seems to be currently available. You can also take a look at your location in Google’s Photorealistic 3D Tiles demo app, which shows that the dataset only contains the top-down view. Cesium only assists with distributing the data Google releases, so there’s unfortunately nothing we can do to start providing 3D buildings for South Korea in this dataset.

Thank you for detailed answer, really appreciate that. I guess I have to look for way around. Can we combine custom lsmd with Cesium?

Yes, you can! There are other datasets available on Cesium ion (including Cesium OSM Buildings, which is probably particularly relevant to what you’re trying to do!). You can also upload data you’ve obtained from other sources to Cesium ion to use from there, or you can load 3D Tiles data from a web address or folder on your hard drive if you find a tileset in that format you want to use. Once you have your custom data, you can use cartographic polygons to cut out areas of a tileset, to either show only a specific area or to show everything but that specific area. This will help you layer multiple data sources on top of each other. I hope this helps!

Thanks Azrogers, you are a life saver!
