How can I achieve the best possible level of detail for Google 3D Tiles?

I would like to render buildings with the maximum possible level of detail.

The first image is my project on Unreal, the second one is from Google Earth. You can clearly see that Google’s one is significantly more detailed, it’s not as pixelated, and the polygons are much smoother. Is it possible to achieve this level of detail with Cesium?

Here’s my LOD config:

{1430EE71-FD61-468B-8979-0C4387688A17}

I’ve tried with lower values, but it doesn’t seem to improve.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi @devturini, welcome to the community!

You’re correct – there’s a difference between the maximum level of detail in Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles versus the data they use in Google Earth. I believe the finest level of detail in Google Earth simply isn’t included in Photorealistic 3D Tiles.

Unfortunately, this is a limitation of the data itself, so there’s not much that we can do client-side. But we encourage you to share feedback with them using one of the methods available on their support page. Thank you!
