How do i replace specific parts of the map in UE5?


For example if i want to add trees and grass to the green area of the map, add a road prefab to the roads or add grass to the grey area. How do i do that? (Maybe scanning for a color and replacing the texture/adding prefabs there? im new to unreal)

I’m afraid that what you’re describing isn’t out-of-the-box functionality. I’m not sure how you’d scan for the color in the tileset, but it’s worth a shot!

I should mention that we have an old tutorial for placing foliage on tilesets. We unfortunately have not been able to update this for UE5, but I hope that some of the concepts can still apply. Let us know if it helps in any way!
