Selectively replacing textures

Hi there, I’m new to Cesium and pretty new to Unreal, so please excuse the Noob question.

I am exploring Unreal/Cesium for cinematic purposes. My question is can I selectively replace some parts of the landscape with Unreal materials? Eg: Make a selection on the foreground meadow and replace with one material, then draw a polygon around the hill further in the distance and replace with another material, and then leave Google Earth textures for background?

Thanks in advance
BP

Hi @Brent911, welcome to the community!

I think the closest thing to what you’re after is the “Cartographic Polygon” feature:

It can be used to completely cut away parts of a tileset so that you can replace it with something else.

Cartographic Polygons can also be used in a custom material to change how the area inside the polygon is drawn without changing the geometry:

Thanks for your reply Kevin… I’m going to give that a go… but it looks promising.
