Issue with adding Set Render Target Value in the Procedural Spawn Foliage Tutorial

Hey there,

I’ve been working with Cesium on Unreal 5.5.4 lately and I wanted to use procedural spawning of foliage to improve my levels. However, when following the tutorial here : Procedurally Spawning Foliage – Cesium I ran into an issue at Step 3. Niagara: Create a Niagara System. Firstly, I couldn’t find the option at part 5. (We’ll also make use of Simulation Stages, which can be enabled by expanding the Simulation Stages menu and checking Enable Simulation Stages (Experimental) and secondly, when creating the scratch pad at part 10., I couldn’t get the Set Render Target Value Node to appear.

Reading similar issues here, I figured out it’s related to the version I am using since the tutorial was made in 4.26 but I haven’t find any solutions to solve this. Is it easy to solve or should I just give up and consider another solution ?

Hi @Gabin_ERM, welcome to the community!

Unfortunately – as you found out – we haven’t updated all of our tutorials for Unreal versions 5.0+. We have a Github issue for that here, but we haven’t had the time on our roadmap to address all of it :frowning:

If you were able to find any workarounds, definitely let us know on this thread! Otherwise, we’ll try to figure out why this doesn’t work for UE 5+ when we get the chance.
