I need to download terrain data for a 1000 km² area, but I see that Cesium’s terrain service allows only up to 25 km² for each download. I would like to load this larger terrain data offline for use in my application.
What are the best approaches to achieve this? Is there a way to download and combine multiple smaller terrain tiles, or is there a recommended solution for working with larger terrain datasets offline?
Hello! The easiest options would be a custom subscription for ion SaaS (with a larger quota of clips) or to license Cesium World Terrain and Cesium ion Self-Hosted for use in your own environment (higher clipping sizes are supported with Self-Hosted). I believe you’ve also started a conversation with an account manager, so you’ll receive more details through that path.
