Hello,
I have the following problem, I would like to load a complex model (3d-mesh/3d-Tiles) in format b3dm.
I only see black triangles in ion.
I read some comments, that b3dm has problems, so I changed the b3dm with 3d-tiles-tools to glb.
Then I got the error, that draco-compression files can’t be read.
Then I change glb to gltf, the same.
Does anyone know a way to import b3dm or glb to ion - or does anyone know a way to convert a big model of b3dm without draco compression ?
The original b3dm can be loaded via file input from a web-server, with no problems, but I need it in ion ?
Regards
Rüdiger
Hi,
Is it correct that you are trying to upload an already tiled 3D tileset to Cesium ion? Are you able to provide an asset id so that we can look into this further?
If you choose the 3D Tiles option when uploading, Cesium ion will just host your files without modifying them. Was that the option you choose when uploading this data?
I have send you a message - when I use the original data all textures are black
Looking at the source data in the asset you provided I am still seeing the black untextured shapes when I viewed it in a local instance of Sandcastle. This indicates that the problem is with whatever program was used to tile that data, and not with ion.
Do you know what program created the 3D tileset you uploaded?
Do you have access to the source data? If so, you can try uploading that to Cesium ion to see how the ion tilers process it. If you do, please let us know the asset id so we can investigate.
