Hi,
I need to display some data for the city with my own layer of buildings. I have those buildings in SHP file with the roofs verticies abs height. it is nice dataset with slope roofs. About 250k roofs in a modest 50Mb file.
However Cesium Ion does not import SHP. Can any one suggest me a workflow to convert those to the format that would stream efficiently?

Can you provide some more information about what application this data came from? That may help others recommend a better export/conversion process.
This type of data is typically imported into Cesium ion using the KML+DAE or CityGML formats. Are you able to export the data from your source in either of those formats?
The data comes from public Geoportal that maintains the building database for the whole country, all is free data including hi-res DEM and Orthofotomap.
So i can load it into Qgis or GlobalMapper. Unfortunately those tools have 3d display capabilities that are rubish not even close to the Cesium
I checked GlobalMapper is not exporting to CityGML and for Qqis I do not know, I dont know too well, so I seek advis on the workflow.
