We just released a new version of Cesium, 1.22.1.
This version contains a new Bing Maps key for development usage that AGI, the company that started Cesium, is graciously funding. For production use, please create your own Bing key using the Bing Maps Dev Center.
This will fix the recent “globe doesn’t appear” issue that occurred because the previous Bing key included with Cesium was disabled due to high usage given how popular Cesium has become.
The new Bing Maps key included in Cesium will eventually be disabled as we move to cesiumjs.com for providing geospatial content to Cesium. In addition to helping fund open-source Cesium development, cesiumjs.com will increase the reliable of third-party content that our apps depend on.
