Hi,
I experience a very noticable difference in mesh+texture quality between Cesium (Upper imagepart) and Googlemaps (lower part, much better):
Why is this?
Is Cesium connecting to a different (older) database?
Do I overlook for “quality-settings” in Unreal/Cesium?
Thanks for the question @Cascho75! Google doesn’t currently make the most detailed layer of its data available for public use. You can compare what you’re seeing in Cesium for Unreal with Google’s own demo of Photorealistic 3D Tiles - the quality should match, as they’re using the same dataset. If you’d like to see the data used in Google Maps released for public use, you can send in your feedback to Google using the “Send Feedback” button on the Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles documentation page!
